Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using WEC Bank's money transfer platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About WEC Bank
WEC Bank — Money Transfer Services ("WEC Bank", "we", "us", or "our") is a licensed Money Services Business (MSB) registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) under registration number M18291045.

2. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Canada
- Provide accurate and complete identity information as required for KYC verification
- Not be subject to any sanctions or restrictions that would prohibit you from using our services
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
3. Account Registration and KYC
To send money through WEC Bank, you must create an account and complete our Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Submit valid government-issued identification as requested
- Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Update your information promptly if it changes
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that do not meet our verification requirements or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
4. Transfer Limits
The following transfer limits apply to your account:
- Daily limit: CAD $2,500 per day
- Monthly limit: CAD $10,000 per month
These limits may be adjusted based on your KYC verification status and account history. Higher limits may be available upon request and subject to additional verification.
5. Fees and Exchange Rates
WEC Bank strives to offer competitive exchange rates with zero hidden fees. The exchange rate applied to your transfer will be displayed before you confirm the transaction. Exchange rates are live and may fluctuate. The rate shown at the time of confirmation is the rate that will be applied to your transfer.
Any applicable fees will be clearly disclosed before you confirm a transfer. We reserve the right to update our fee structure with reasonable notice.
6. Transfer Processing
Once you confirm a transfer, we will process it in accordance with the delivery method selected. Processing times vary by destination country and delivery method. WEC Bank is not responsible for delays caused by:
- Correspondent banks or payment partners in the destination country
- Regulatory holds or compliance reviews
- Incorrect recipient information provided by you
- Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Once a transfer has been submitted and accepted for processing, it may not be possible to cancel it. If you believe an error has occurred, contact us immediately at 1 (877) 401-4554. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed in accordance with our refund policy and applicable law.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use WEC Bank's services for:
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other illegal activity
- Transactions involving sanctioned countries, entities, or individuals
- Fraudulent transactions or misrepresentation
- Any purpose that violates applicable Canadian or international law
We are required by law to report suspicious transactions to FINTRAC. Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement.
9. Regulatory Compliance
WEC Bank operates in compliance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and all applicable FINTRAC regulations. We are required to collect, verify, and retain certain information about our customers and their transactions as mandated by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WEC Bank's liability for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to the amount of the transaction giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
